Candle Care
Before lighting
- Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn.
- Place your candle on a stable, heat resistant surface.
- Keep away from drafts, children and pets.
The first burn
The first burn is the most important.
Allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface before extinguishing the flame. This helps prevent tunnelling and promotes an even burn throughout the life of your candle.
During use
- Burn your candle for 2-4 hours at a time.
- Never burn for longer than 4 hours continuously.
- Keep the wax free from the wick trimmings, matches and other debris.
After each burn
- Extinguish the flame carefully.
- Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting.
- Trim the wick again before your next burn.
When to stop burning
Stop using your candle when approximately 10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. This helps prevent the container from overheating.
Safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep away from flammable materials.
- Do not move the candle while the wax is hot.
- Always extinguish the flame before leaving the room.
